Maluak Chol
Maluak Chol fled his country of Southern Sudan in 1987, along with 35,000 other Lost Boys. After arriving in Nashville, Tennessee in 2001, he wrote the book, Maluak’s Cows. Maluak was diagnosed with inoperable liver cancer, which took his life in November 2006. As he bravely fought the disease, Maluak made countless clay cows and retold his story to hundreds of men, women, and children.
