South Sudan Trip Entry 4 Posted May 2, 2013

After two days of rain and having to delay our trip to Piol by a day, the roads have dried up some.  If it does not rain overnight we will be on our way to Piol tomorrow morning.  Jok met with more family and friends today and those meeting are exciting of watch with lots of shaking of hands and slapping on the shoulders as is the custom here.  It was 95 degrees today which really helped dry up the roads.  As we walked around to meet Jok’s family we did not get our shoes muddy. I wish more of you could experience the warmth of the people of South Sudan.  They are truly happy and care so much about each other.
